Over 20 Houses of Prayer

It's amazing how the Lord plans things out. Just before I was to attend the 1:11 Conference I felt this verse rise up in me, Proverbs 25:2; “It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out.”

On 18th February 2017, PenHOP and their friends and family gathered in the Prayer Room at 52 Jalan Green Hall, to witness yet another year of God’s faithfulness and goodness to the House.

At the beginning of 2017, PenHOP and KLHOP held a joint retreat where a definite theme began to emerge through numerous seemingly unconnected sources. 

Weekends at PenHOP was held from 14 to 15 October with the intention of introducing the heart of the prayer movement over one weekend.

This past quarter, I had the privilege of facilitating a small group study for a tiny band of PenHOPpers. 

At PenHOP, we often use the term house to describe ourselves as a unit.

Maybe it’s because I’ve been hammering away at a novel for the last month or it’s a satiation of Christmas movies, but this season I find myself thinking a lot about the Christmas story set out in the Scripture. And what great storytelling it is! 

In August, I participated in a children intercessors’ conference, held in Taiwan. Yes, you read that right: children intercessors. They do exist, gathering in numbers greater than most adult prayer meetings. The meeting was organized by local churches and houses of prayer in Taiwan, featuring a renowned minister involved in children intercessory ministry.

From 26 to 29 July this year, sons and daughters from over 30 nations met in Ilsan Kwanglim Church, Seoul, for the first-ever United Prayer Rising (UPRising) Conference. In a time when this generation is struggling to find their purpose, the team from UPRising saw a need to gather young people from the nations to be inspired and empowered by the wisdom and love of fathers in the faith and the field.
