Initiatives

Our desire is to see a culture of prayer established in the heart of Penang and in the region through partnerships, events and internships that spark and strengthen what God is doing in local churches and the Body of Christ at large.

We seek to come alongside and serve the local church through short- and long-term partnerships focused on:
•   strengthening existing prayer meetings and ministries,

•   sharing to stir hunger and desire for His presence, and
•   organizing worship and prayer events to inspire both young and old unto deeper intimacy with Jesus.

We also invite and welcome local churches to come as individuals or in groups to PenHOP and stand together with us in intercession for the release of justice, awakening and the Great Commission in Malaysia and the region. Initiatives and partnerships will look different during this covid pandemic, do email us at info@penhop.org if you are keen to partner in any initiatives.

WEEKENDS AT PENHOP

is a condensed intensive introduction to PenHOP and the Prayer Movement over one weekend. It is designed to inspire believers to a deeper lifestyle of prayer and to build “resting places” of prayer and worship within their churches, cities and nations. Weekends begins with Friday Night Burn and resumes on Saturday morning where participants receive teaching and ministry, experience different prayer room sets, and join a Q&A luncheon with the leadership and staff.

burn

is a 6-, 12- or 24-hour gathering of non-stop worship and prayer to spark in the local church a desire for more of God’s presence and to pour out love and devotion in response to the revelation of His beauty. Designed to unify local churches and raise the water level of worship and prayer in the Body of Christ, we partner with one or more local churches to organize the event and prepare their worship and prayer teams to lead. 

HARP & BOWL INTENSIVE

is a one-day training workshop to equip local church worship and prayer teams to understand the why and how behind the Revelation 5:8 model of combining worship and prayer and to facilitate prayer meetings in Houses of Prayer and churches using this model.

Internships & Schools

PenHOP Internships are designed for those desiring to consecrate a focused season to seek God and encounter Him in a deeper way. Presently, we run two internships. While each internship has a different emphasis, both share the same foundational curriculum, including the Revelation of the Father, the Bridal Paradigm, the  

Pursuit of One Thing, The Forerunner Ministry, and the Nexus of Worship, Intercession and Missions. They also incorporate the same components of extensive prayer room times, teaching, one-on-one’s with staff, practical ministry experience, opportunities for service, and opportunities to be involved on worship teams.

neXus Internship

is a part-time, six months journey, designed to cultivate a deeper relationship with the Lord, while having the Malaysian cultural context in mind. It is built on three pillars - Intimacy, Inheritance, and Intercession and is based on the vision of Luke 1:17.

This internship is co-organised with KLHOP.

A little history to Nexus Internship… It was a part-time internship by PenHOP, designed for anyone desiring to grow deeper in intimacy with Jesus to set aside 21 days in an intentional and focused pursuit of God. Interns laid down other responsibilities for a short period of time to spend weekday evenings in the prayer room worshiping, interceding, studying the Word, and Saturdays receiving teaching.

BURN INTERNSHIP

is PenHOP’s one-month, full-time internship with an emphasis on calling forth a prophetic Davidic generation of worshipers, intercessors, messengers, singers and musicians who will be forerunners in the prayer movement, local churches, youth groups, and the marketplace. It also features workshops and ministry opportunities for interns to grow in vocal and band skills, preaching, worship, prayer and the prophetic. The Burn Internship typically runs in March or April each year.

288 School of prophetic singers

“…all of them trained and skilled in music for the LORD, they numbered 288”

is a 3-month prophetic worship program to raise and equip worship leaders, singers, and musicians from local churches in prophetic worship and the Harp & Bowl Model, which emphasizes combining worship and intercession (Rev. 5:8). Interns will attend Saturday afternoon training sessions every week and commit to two hours weekly in the Prayer Room to hone their skills with the goal of returning to strengthen their local church. 

school of intercessors

is a 3-month school to call forth and raise intercessors that they may be set as watchmen to declare what they see and hear from God with great care, and to continually stand in position at the watchtower day and night. Interns will attend Saturday morning teaching sessions every week and commit to two hours weekly in the Prayer Room to grow their heart as intercessors, with the goal of strengthening their local church.
